James E. Reinert, CPA, CFP, MST (President) was born in Frankenmuth, Michigan and has been a resident of Royal Oak, Michigan for more than 15 years.
Education
In May 1986 Jim earned his Bachelors of Science in Accounting with a concentration in Computer Information Systems from Ferris State University. He became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in 1989, received his Masters of Science in Taxation with distinction (MST) from Walsh College in June 1996 and became a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) in December 1999.
After gaining a wealth of knowledge in accounting, taxation and information technology from 1986 through 1992 with two of the area's most notable CPA firms, Jim founded Reinert & Company, PC in May of 1992. The firm is currently located in Royal Oak, Michigan.
Continuing Professional Education
Jim's CPA, CFP and insurance licenses require completion of many hours of continuing professional education (CPE) each year. The CPA and CFP licenses each require 40 hours of CPE per year and the insurance license requires 15 hours of CPE each year. Jim exceeds this total of 95 hours per year by an average of 25 hours; putting in an average of 120 hours per year!

Jim is currently extremely active in his church and is also a member of several business and community organizations including:
